Super Greensand®is a natural product, derived from glauconite, formed approximately 570 million years ago in the floor of an ancient ocean. Super Greensand® contains 68 minerals and trace elements with the power to remineralize the soils, contributing to plant's health.
Used as a soil amendment and fertilizer, contains about 10% total potash (0.2% soluble), along with iron, magnesium, silica and as many as 60 other slow-release trace minerals. Improves plant health and increase the soil’s capacity to retain water and nutrients permanently. Will also loosen heavy soils. Listed for use in organic production.
Super Greensand® increases the soil capacity to retain water and nutrients permanently. This is a result of its unique mineralogy. It offers both a high capability to retain water and nutrients in solution but also offers a high cation exchange capacity. This allows the product to retain small amounts of nutrients essential for plant growth.Spread Super Greensand® evenly over the entire area. Works best when Super Greensand® is incorporated into the soil before seeding or planting.
Lawns: Use 44 lbs per 1000 sq ft. Water thoroughly.
Flowers & Vegetables: Use 10 lb per 1000 sq ft.
Roses & Shrubbery: Use 20 lbs per 1000 sq ft.
Citrus & Trees: Spread under tree canopy at rate of 10 lb per 1000 sq ft. Work into soil and water thoroughly.
Field crops: Use 100-300 lbs per acre. For annual maintenance, use 50-200 lbs per acre or according to needs based on soil quality.
